Final Fantasy XIII * * Reliable Techniques for Earning 5- Star Ratings on All 64 missions * * Without Tier 3 Weapons or Eidolons * * and with Minimal (at most 1) Use of Shrouds Version Completed 1.00 1.10 * Added section about Managing Your CP and finding gil for Upgrades. * Fixed a couple of places where I mistakenly used secondary roles prematurely. * Replayed all Missions that were recommended for postgame play and re-wrote the strategies to (hopefully) improve them. * Begrudgingly acknowledged Sazh as a legitimate, contributing member of the team and included him in some Missions. * Added more information on Random: Instant Chain ability and consolidated this information into a separate section. * In particular, I added a strategy for 5-starring Mission 60 without using Deceptisol, thus avoiding its use altogether on all 64 Missions. Yay! 2.00 * Finally got around to attempting Missions 1-14 and 17-26 before the events in Oerba. The suggested strategies on these Missions have essentially been completely re-written. I added information about how to 5-star almost all of these Missions early in Chapter 11 and added MANY other tips and hints on these early Missions as well as related topics such as managing CP, Accessories, and sequencing Missions. * Added LOTS of new hints on how to get Preemptive Strikes in the first 26 Missions. 2.10 * Did a quality assurance runthrough of all postgame Missions and made many changes in addition to the ones described below. * Described a less expensive way to make Sprint Shoes. * Described a way to 5-star Mission 51 in Early Postgame play. * Improved strategy for Mission 45, allowing the team to stay alive.
Missions are arguably the meat of the game. They're the place where you get to put all the skills you've developed to work. Most are pretty straight forward. However, there are several hunts that are likely to be trouble unless you know exactly how to prepare. Below is a complete guide for all the available missions in the game. Mission 01 - Pond Scum Mark: Electopudding Stone Location: Archylte Steppe – Central Expanse Mark Location: Archylte Steppe – Central Expanse Reward: Energy Sash Secondary Reward: Bomb Core This should be a quick one. Try to sneak up behind it for a preemptive strike, cast Libra before finally shifting to Tri-disaster. Spam lightning and that should do it. Mission 02 - Goodwill Hunting Mark: Uridimmu Stone Location: Archylte Steppe – Central Expanse Mark Location: Archylte Steppe – Central Expanse Prerequisite: Clear Mission 01 Reward: Cobaltite Secondary Reward: Bomb Shell x 3 This mark is accompanied by 4 Gorgonopsids which can inflict Poison. Just have a paradigm with a Medic at hand and shift when needed. Quickly eliminate the minions with Relentless Assault ( COM/ RAV/ RAV). For the mark, switch to Tri-disaster ( RAV/ RAV/ RAV cast Libra and spam lightning spells. Mission 03 - Massif Contamination Mark: Ugallu Stone Location: Archylte Steppe – Central Expanse Mark Location: Yaschas Massif – Tsubaddran Highlands Prerequisite: Clear Mission 02 Reward: Platinum Bangle Secondary Reward: Bomb Core x 3 This one has far greater HP compared to the first two marks. Not that it's a problem though. Ugallu is weak to ice and wind so have your most potent mages ( Hope and Vanille) plus Snow spam ice spells on it until the target staggers. Don't forget to use Libra as well. Ugallu's Virulent Breath attack inflicts Poison so Medics should use Esuna when needed. Mission 04 -  A Hero's Charge Mark: Adroa Stone Location: Yaschas Massif – Tsubaddran Highlands.
Missions 1-14 then 20-26 then 55 This Guide is how to get GROWTH EGG which is an item that doubles any CP you get and you get it on mission 55. I'll.
