Good, it works For mixing videos on external mixer there is more of a challenge Serato have solved this by locking their video feature to the insane expensive Rane mixer that has (their own) midi. VDJ, solves this by allowing ANY midi controller, to control the video crossfader. So to mix/crossfade video, you really need some sort of midi controller. (unless you want to use mouse and keyboard). Midi controllers range from cheap bargain beginner deals, to very pro mixers. From M- Audio X- Session (simple midi controller to Pioneer DJM800 (expensive pro mixer). Between that, there is a lot of mixers, such as Numark Total Control, Numark Omi, Hercules RMX, Vestax VCI, Ecler mixers ( Nuo4, Evo4, Evo5 Korg Zero4, Pioneer DJM700 etc Pioneer 700 will work fine here is the thing you gotta ask yourself, that people have different prefferences about1) Do you want ONE crossfader that controls audio and video, at the SAME time?- if so, you need a midi mixer, prefferably a pro mixer like Ecler or Pioneer with midi2) If you dont want to mix audio and video at same time, but control the video crossfade seperately (can be used creatively you could easily use your current mixer (non midi) for audio mixing, and a simple small midi controller for the video crossfade (or even keyboard) But that depends on you Pioneer DJM-700 has midi though.
