Hi, I'm trying to run/open an.exe file, every time I click on it, it does nothing, there's no error messages or anything. So far I've tried starting in safe mode and running it from CMD, none of these worked. I've allowed the.exe file through my firewall, I'm the Admin account of my PC. It's weird because on my other PC that has the exact same operating system, it's runs just fine. My PC is new, so I'm thinking it could be missing some sort of driver or something and it won't run certain.exe files. So far though all other.exe files have ran just fine. But I know the.exe file isn't corrupt or broken as it runs just fine on my other PC and it can't be OS compatibility issues either. What's left to check or change? I'm all out of ideas, I need some help here. Thanks, any help is really appreciated! More about : exe file open run matter Try running it from a command line instead of just double-clicking it. See if you get any error messages. It's probably a missing DLL or. NET framework. Ijack said: Try running it from a command line instead of just double-clicking it. See if you get any error messages. It's probably a missing DLL or. NET framework. I've tried this and still the same, no error messages come up. Have you tried right clicking and run as admin? I had an issue with one program that would not run, unless I did that. Not sure what the issue was with it. It was one of those programs that I used VERY rarely. so didn't look into it much. I'm installing the latest version to see if that.

For some users with the Windows Vista Operating System, the OS has flagged the 2014 Turbo Tax installation file to be blocked because of an invalid signature. Try this - Right click on the installation file.  Click on Properties.  Click on the Unblock button.  Click on OK. Double click on the installation file to start the installation.
